Hongkong, 16th February, 1907.
I have the honour to transmit the enclosed copy of correspondence with Fr. T. P. Conolly, Senior Sanitary Inspector in the Sanitary Department, and to report that on the 11th instant Mr. Conolly was brought before the Executive Council when the 3rd, 4th, and 6th of the charges set out in the enclosure to the Acting Colonial Secretary's letter of the 15th ultimo were enquired into.
2. The Council found the 4th and 6th charges proven and advised that Mr. Conolly should be suspended from the exercise of the functions of his office, with an alimentary allowance of $50 a month, and that he should be recommended to Your Lordship for dismissal from the Public Service.
3. I enclose a transcript of the shorthand notes of the proceedings and copy of the minutes
